Physical Therapy: A Comprehensive Approach to Neurological Conditions

My son was a patient of Dr. Shane Jackson's and I would like to write a testimonial about our experience.
For many years, my son had an odd gait when walking and running along with feeling extreme knee and ankle pain with movement. This pain led us to many doctors; Rheumatologists, Infectious Disease doctors, and finially Dr. Rowe, a Neurologist. After reviewing my son's symptoms, Dr. Rowe referred us to Dr.
Jackson. Immediately, Dr. Jackson was able to identify the cause of the leg pain and provide us with the proper exercises to stretch and strengthen specific muscles. Finally, after 5 years of prior physical therapy (through a hospital) and 8 years of not knowing why my son experienced such leg pain, we learned that my son had mild Cerebral Palsy. After hearing Dr. Jackson explain why he had such difficulty, it all made sense. Within 5 months of following Dr. Jackson's regimen of exercises, my son was not only pain free, but he was also able to run and walk correctly. Dr. Jackson was wonderful to work with, balancing patience with knowing when to challenge my son. My son, to this day, talks about Dr. Jackson and how much he helped him. We feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Jackson and would highly recommend him.
