Johnson County Multiple Sclerosis Event

  
  

MidAmerica Neuroscience Institute, headquartered in Lenexa, KS participates in many Multiple Sclerosis drug trials each year and was a center for the Novartis Gilenya study prior to its approval.  Multiple Sclerosis Certified Nurse, Doug Schell, of the Institute’s MS Center, will be the featured speaker at the Gilenya Go Program for multiple sclerosis patients, family and friends. 

Gilenya is the latest Multiple Sclerosis drug to receive FDA approval and has the benefit of being an oral medication.  MidAmerica Neuroscience Institute enrolled 14 patients in the Gilenya study which began in 2007.  Two of those study participants have gone on to become ambassadors for Norvatis by speaking about their experience on this new therapy.
